Welcome to the Axia Petition Wizard:

Before you get started, here are a few things to remember while filing your petition:

Ø   Have your 10-digit Folio number(s) ready. Please do not use dashes or periods when entering the number. Approved contiguous properties cannot be filed online, unless you file one petition per folio number.

Ø   GOOD NEWS FOR PETITIONERS, the Hillsborough County Value Adjustment Board has suspended all petition filing fees for the 2016 tax year.

Ø   Complete all required fields on each screen.

Ø   The Petition Wizard takes approximately 15 minutes to complete if you have all necessary information ready.

Ø   If you have to stop at any point throughout the Petition Wizard, write down your User ID and Password found at the bottom of the screen.  This will allow you to log in and continue at a later time; however, please note, you may have to re-enter some information.  The User ID is your transaction number.

NOTE:  It is your responsibility to verify that your online transaction was finalized.  If you do not receive an e-mailed confirmation shortly after finalizing the transaction, your petition may not have been accepted.  Log back into Axia and check to see if your entry has been assigned a petition number; this indicates that your petition has been processed.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Property Appraiser's Office welcomes you to discuss your assessment before filing a petition. You can reach that office at (813) 272-6100.  If your issues are not resolved quickly, file a petition with the Value Adjustment Board before the filing deadline printed on your Notice of Proposed Taxes (TRIM Notice) or your Denial Notice.

If you are filing on an exemption or agricultural issue, you must have already applied with the Property Appraiser and been denied.

The Property Record Card can be accessed online by going to www.hcpafl.org and selecting the Property Record Search option.  If you have any questions, regarding the Property Record Card, please contact the Property Appraiser's Office at (813) 272-6100.

If you have questions regarding the petition, call the Value Adjustment Board at (813) 276-8100, x 4354.
